In industries with lower precision, checkweighing is often used. 

Checkweighing is used in industries such as food production and ready-meal manufacturing to ensure that meals meet certain weight targets. 

This could be a combination of fruits, vegetables and meat. Each meal is then checked to make sure it meets a specific tolerance. 

If the meal is less than 2 leaves of lettuce, it will be passed. If the meal is found to be significantly below the target weight (e.g. missing the whole meat portion),

 it would be flagged for inspection. MPE manufacturers is another industry that uses checkweighing. In this instance, each carton of pieces is checked for completeness. 

A checkweighing scale can be used by a supplier of automotive parts to determine if the package is complete. 

This allows customers to take corrective actions before the shipment is sent. Industries that require higher precision for sensitive formulations, such as chemical and pharmaceutical, would likely not use a checkweighingapplication.
